Description
What do you do when the one who promised to love, honour and cherish you until “death do us part” chooses not to do so anymore? What happens when “I do” becomes “I don’t”? What Happened at the End of the Road began as a way to make sense of life when the bottom fell out and Warũgũrũ found herself in a cold, dark, lonely place; a cave at the bottom of the valley, a tomb. The path before her disappeared and what remained was confusion and anger, fear, doubt, tears, a loss of identity and direction, and the feeling of utter failure and shame. The beautiful future she’d envisioned disintegrated. She felt invisible, devalued and unheard. That dark place, bereft of hope, became her home for a while. One easily gets comfortable wallowing self pity, what ifs and if only, until it one day dawns that life is moving on without you and it is time to reclaim your place among the living. So begins the journey back because there’s still so much life to be lived. At the end of the road you change direction, you forge a new path, you keep walking knowing that there is a world of good beyond the valley. You just have to step out and find it.
