The Sick Thing

Description

The marriage institution has and will always be the most important societal background. When the institute ails, the entire society ails. One sick family has magical powers to spill the consequences of its sickness to relatives, friends and neighbours in a significant way. It is the family which either brings forth into the world godly or ungodly children whose behavoiur and values affect the society they live in.

For that matter, the intention of this book is to poke one’s conscience by showing some of what, by imagination or reality, is happening in marriages. The book also attempts to ask questions such as: Who is to be blamed for the turmoil in many marriages? What precautions should be taken by each couple and how? The book remotely suggests a few ideas by pointing out, through the main character, that what seems to be helplessly attacked could actually always be salvaged by each couple through proper focus and counseling embedded in the forgiving grace of God.

Couples are encouraged to do their best to be dedicated to marriage and look forward to bliss instead of predictable misery. We are mandated to bring to earth godly children and we can only do this if we are godly. Malachi 2:15 says: “Didn’t the Lord make you one with your wife? In body and in spirit you are his. And what does he want? Godly children from your union.” Lastly, the book is supposed to pose a question in the mind of every reader: Are you godly?
