This booklet focuses on helping employers manage their helpers effectively. It is designed as a manual to be used by professional women and by formal or informal women groups. Reflection exercises will facilitate application in real life settings. The author’s passion is to empower people to operate in their full potential. She has over 20 years of experience with full time house helps / domestic workers and writes as an informed employer, caring mother, committed spouse and a career woman.
Dr. Rosemary Mbogo is lecturer at Africa International University (AIU), Education Department, where she specializes in instructing on Education Administration. She is currently the Director of Quality Assurance of the university as well as the acting Dean of the School of Education, Arts and Social Sciences (SEAS). She is passionate about mentoring students in research and writing, and in the development of administrative skills for enhancing performance of both non-formal and formal educational programmes. She has developed various degree and diploma programmes for AIU in addition to publishing academic papers. She has also established three schools and a children’s home: Tumaini Academy in Mathare North, ByGrace [Primary and Secondary] Schools and ByGrace Children’s Home, all of which are in Ngong. She has published an autobiography – Against all Odds – and Job Satisfaction of Distance Education Personnel in Kenya’s Christian Institutions of Higher Education. She acquired her doctorate from BIOLA University, California, USA. Dr. Mbogo is married to Stephen Mbogo and is a mother of two: Victor Mbogo and Joy Mbogo.
