The Growth and Development of the Africa Inland Church (AIC) in Marakwet, Kenya (1895 -1992) is a book of great historical insights. Apart from tracing the inception of the AIC, it also covers contemporary issues of concern. The book focuses on areas of growth while highlighting important characters (patriarchs) who have played an integral role in the formation, growth and development of the Church. Special attention is given to the Church in Marakwet, in the Rift Valley part of Kenya. In a nutshell, Prof. Kibor tells a historical roadmap on how the Church started in Marakwet and how it increased numerically while facing a number of challenges related to culture. This book is of massive value not only to the Church in Marakwet but also to the Kenyan and African church in general. With this vastness in information and wealth of ideas, the book is a must-read for church historians, missiologists, theologians and church leaders.
