Description
Building a network of contacts is crucial in the success of event management ventures. Besides, networking is particularly important for ventures because of their typical lack of structure, poor access to resources such as capital, information and personnel, as well as due to their small size. The aim of this book is to provide entrepreneurs of event management ventures, lecturers, students and practitioners with discussions and arguments on three networking dimensions (Networking Capability, Networking Structure and Networking Dynamics) and how they determine performance of ventures. The book was anchored on empirical research undertaken at DPhil level and may appeal readers and scholars who are concerned with research, writing and developing concepts related to networking. Based on the findings, the author advocates for entrepreneurs and managers of event management ventures to actively participate and involve stakeholders in networking activities as well as formation of associations to manage relationships within the network.
