TED@31: Anniversary Celebration Report

Department of Technology Education in the School of Education at University of Eldoret (UoE), Kenya, celebrated 31 years of its existence since its establishment in September, 1989 on Friday 26th March 2021. Technology Education was the first local degree programme that provided a pathway for technical teachers/trainers wishing to pursue further training beyond a diploma. The Anniversary, with the theme “Preparing a Technical Teacher for the 21st Century” was very significant since it was the chance to remind the students, the staff, the alumni and other stakeholders and partners of UoE community about the humble beginning and the achievements of the department. The event is captured in this publication for wider readership. Funding for this book has been provided by the University of Eldoret Management Board. We take pride in remaining committed to our mandate as we elevate the core values of our University. Undeniably, our spirit, intellect, and purpose has fueled us in becoming who we are today.
