Dr. Grace Atemi Ondieki is a Lecturer in Educational Psychology at Kisii University and formerly, a high school teacher teaching English/Literature since 1990. She attained a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Psychology (Moi University) in 2014, a Master of Education in Educational Psychology (Kenyatta University) in 2006 and a Bachelor of Education – English and Literature (Moi University) in 1994. Grace Atemi was born in 1968 to Phanice Ayuma Ombonyo and the late Javan Ombonyo Omurembe at Ebulamba Village, the then Ebunangwe Sub-Location, East Bunyore of Vihiga County. She began her education at Ebunangwe Primary School and later for one year at Shitechia Primary School in Ikolomani where she sat for her C.P.E in 1983. She joined Bunyore Girls High School for her ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Levels. She taught at Ebunangwe Boys under B.O.M and during her teaching practice. Dr. Atemi is a Senior Pastor in the Glorious Ministry of Repentance and Holiness, a member of the International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development (ISSBD) and the Kenya Guidance Counselling and Psychological Association. She has authored and co-authored books and articles in international and local journals and attended and made presentations in conferences. Her major interest is to ensure that Olunyole is sustained. She writes stories and songs in Olunyole and reads and sings them and is currently working on an Olunyole-English dictionary.
